Brighton and Lewes based therapy. Supportive, confidential, positive, goal focused and explorative counselling.

Sometimes recent events in one’s life can seem overwhelming, or long term issues can drive us into a position where we feel stuck. Counselling can help you feel differently about your life, and support and empower positive change.

I am a fully qualified, experienced BACP Accredited therapist. I have been helping people as a counsellor for over 18 years. I trained at Sussex University. I am also a qualified supervisor. I have worked as a counsellor in the NHS, charities, Employee Assistance Programmes and private practice.

How I Work

I work in an integrative way which means I tailor the therapy to suit your needs and goals. I work with clients short term (usually 6 sessions) and long term. I see couples and individuals.

We will work together, explore your values and goals, and I will support and empower you to move forward. We can explore relationships and how they affect your life and what you can do to change and improve them. We can explore how negative relationships have influenced you and how you can move on and have more positive relationships .

We will work together re-framing issues that make you feel stuck, challenging negative thought patterns and behaviour and replacing them with positive ones that reflect your values and help you to get the life you want. I can support you in finding positive coping strategies.

I have specialist training and experience in working with people with alcohol misuse issues.
